good god..

Yes i suggest if you plan to flip the psu and cut a hole, you may as well cut a few holes in the mobo tray to route the cables with. see the previous example to get an idea of what holes you will want. (basicly a hole beside every area on your mobo that will need a cable)

Yeah i will mark the case with holes close to the mobo cable connections and then drill devil.gif

im sure you already thought of thise but ill state it anyways for saftey and liability.

MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE ALL ELECTRICAL HARDWARE BEFORE MODDING YOUR CASE

any metal fragments that may land on your circuts will fry your computer as soon as its turned on.

after your are done modding, airblow and vacuum thouroughly.

Oh you may wanna protect your eyes too thumb.gif

Yeah. Take everything out of the case, strip it completely. When you start drilling and cutting the metal shavings will go everywhere. I wiped the case out with a rag really well, then blew it out with a shop vac, then wiped it again to make sure all the shavings were out.

You can see in my picture where I cut the holes on my 900. I used a 1.5 inch hole saw. The 1.5 holes are large enough to get of your cables through, even the 24pin MB cable. I wouldnt bother flipping the PSU, I think itll do more harm than good. Just cut some holes in your MB tray and route as many of the cables behind it as possible.

I work in the construction industry so I have tools for pretty much everything. Most of the steel I work with is very thick, stuff you use on bridges etc, but I have smaller scale tools for the job. I'm still thinking if I should flip the PSU or not sigh. Since I'm going to pull everything apart I might aswhell try right??
My birthday is coming up so I'm also thinking of getting a new PC. I dunno lol either way I'll have to fix my cable problem

yes thumb.gif

you should be able to mount it again without any aditional modding by 3 of the 4 screws, which is plenty secure, especialy at the bottom of a case.

its not a hard mod at all, i think it would be worth it for sure.

Hey since I'm pulling all the stuff out of my case.... and since I also want to chuck in a second GTX580 with water cooling, which in turn I will need a bigger PSU... should I just get a newer and bigger case?
I have already asked this question in another post but I'll ask again... Whats the best case on the market at the moment?? I want something beefy

Idk if there is really a best.. but i think you could look at the corsair lineup.
If i were to switch cases, i think thats what i would go for. After owning 2 antec cases i think i would preffer to stay away from them from now on
