Sabertooth 990FX 2. No analogue sound at all.

Hey.
Today my Motherboard has an issue.
Every single input and output with a 3.5mm jack seems to be broken.
Nothing is detected when I plug an audio device into any port front or back.

I have tried re installing the drivers.
I have also tried re setting the BIOS.

The speakers are greyed out in the device manager for audio.

What else can I try to fix this?

Thanks.

My friend just had this happen to him. Hise first board worked completely fine for about 2 weeks then the analog sound stopped working in linux ... then a few reboots later while troubleshooting it just went out all together even in windows. Reinstalling drivers did nothing. Hooking up anything that played sound over USB like a headset still worked but the 3.5mm audio ports were absolutely useless. No devices connected, etc. At one point, while having a speaker jack plugged in, the notification for plugging in/out a device was coming on/off so fast that it completely crashed the Realtek driver in windows.

The only way to resolve the issue was to return the board to Fry's and get a replacement. The new board's analog audio jacks work flawlessly. Either some sort of bad batch of Realtek 892 audio chips that made their way to the boards or Asus just completely dropped the ball on quality control with the Sabertooth R2.0.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like this is most likely a hardware issue then. I have tried everything I can think of to get it working again.
Back to ebuyer it goes then.

My board has just experienced this. It seems to coincide when I updated to the latest BIOS and was searching to see if others have had this issue.

Will try for a fix before having to RMA, thought I would post here too.

Any fixes? I'm also faced with this issue and I'm not too keen on rolling back my bios (Don't want to screw up my PC anymore than it is).
Boop.
