Crossfire before or after water cooling

Thread Starter
So I've been looking into water cooling my setup for future crossfire: right now I'm running an 8320 with a mild overclock at 4.3 (running on an h100) with a 7850 2gb. I've been planning to crossfire the 7850 with another but I was wondering if I should build the loop before cross firing or cross fire before building the loops and work out the kinks in CF first?

The reason i ask is I probably wont have purchased all the parts for the loop tilapril, but i have the cash to buy the GPU now and push back the loop by a month.

Also though I've done alot of research, but I wanna make sure I've done good on choices and layout:)

what do you think:

200mm phobeya radiator for front intake
XSPC EX240 240mm slim profile radiator for top
XSPC Raystorm CPU block
EK 7850 full cover blocks for GPUs
XSPC dual resivoir with Swiftech MCP 655 pump (purchased)

here's a pick of my loop with waterflow guide:

Does the flow look good?

P.S. I've looked at forum stickys and guides all over the internet, so I don't want the "check the sticky dumb*** " lines:)

REP to you just for doing a good job with that diagram, I love seeing people have a diagram ready before they ask thumb.gif.

As for the crossfire bit, if you plan on doing crossfire for sure, then get the cards crossfired first. It's annoying for you to disassemble the loop later just to add the second card and isn't worth the hassle.

As for your diagram, I think everything looks great. I would personally take the tube that goes from the 200mm rad to the gpu block and put it either on the bottom right port, or (preferably if possible) put it on the side port that most sli/crossfire blocks tend to have.

yeah thats what I was thinking, the thought of draining and taking things apart just to crossfire seemed like more work, but I didnt i know if it was me just being lazy haha. And thanks for the comment on the flow setup, I'll make sure when I build the loop to have the crossfire block outbound downward, less work for the pump that way right? I was thinking of using the swiftech crossfire blocks which dont have a side port

Make sure that the swiftech blocks are compatible with EK waterblocks. And yeah the fewer angled fittings you have, the better your flow iirc.

Not sure what you mean by swiftech crossfire block but each brand of GPU waterblocks use their own bridges for joining multiple cards and they are not compatible with each other. For EK blocks you need and EK bridge or standard g1/4 fittings.

Here's the block:

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/15015/ex-blc-1057/Swiftech_Dual_SLI_Crossfire_Bridge_Block_-_Black_Chrome_-_24_PCI_Spacing.html

it uses g1/4 fittings too,so I just connect them to the other fittings with short tubing. I dont know if this will fit my EK blocks in terms of spacing, but I could fix that with tube placement and length I'm bet

I see what you mean about the EK sli Block, I wouldnt have to use tubing that way and the gpu blocks would support its weight.

Either way would work just fine but the proper bridge is bolted together so it is rigid, less likely to leak and just looks neater.
