NZXT Kraken X60 Intallation

Thread Starter
Hi guys I am going to start new build (Very 1st one ) & I decided to use a Kraken X60 + Phantom 630, I would like to know if anyone has past experience with this setup, mainly I want to remove the side 200mm fan and put it on top, so will the cooling pipe have enough length to reach the floor & if not can you mount the rad on the HDD cage, I saw that you can mount 240s but IDK bout 280s.... Thanx for any help.

looks like the case you mentioned is able to support two 140mm fans in the top of the case any reason why you didn't want to put the rad up there?

You can mount a 280mm rad in the 630.
Why 2x200mm for a 280mm? Very little static pressure build up, and It doesn't even work because the fans can't mount to the rad, IIRC.

No thats not what i ment i ment to say that the case comes pre installed with 3 200mm ( 1 front- 1 top- 1 window ) I wanted to move the 1 on the window to the top and see if there is a way to intall the 280 rad elsewhere. I'm just trying to make th most of the included 200mm fans instead of taking them out and leaving them around. If there is no other option then ill have to just mount it the conventional way.........

( 2x 200mm on top, 1x 200mm in front & I want to know if the tubing from the Kraken x60 will reach the CPU or If I can mount it on the HDD Cage) Sorry for any confusion XS

I don't think you can mount the fans outside of the case (top). You MIGHT be able to do 2x 200mm outside (not likely) and the rad inside.

you can fit x60 rad at the bottom of the case if you remove 2 of the hdd cages i believe and the bottom cover where the bottom hdd cage connects. but im now sure if the tubes on the x60 are long enough though. you can also mount the x60 underneath the top part of the case and have the 200mm fans on top of that. kinda like a push/pull config somewhat.

Just got my 630 yesterday and was thinking of using the x60, as this will be my first ever build. Any pics of it setup yet?
