- If she is concerned about long warranties, she also probably wants a reasonably future-proof setup too: I'd make the jump to a 7950... or bare minimum a 7870.

- Corsair's HX line of PSUs carry a 7-year warranty. You could save a lot of money by getting a less powerful PSU that would still be under warranty after the rest of the PC is out-dated.

- Intel 520 series and Samsung 840 Pro SSDs have 5-year warranties, versus the OCZ's 3-year.

okay, ill go look at SSD's Graphics cards, and RAM too, lol

looks like you guys are helping me redesign the entire rig smile.gif

I have the regular 840 and its awesome, i love it. I need to talk to you about that GPU though, for 230 bucks the best you can do is a 7850? Go with this for $240: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131484&Tpk=7870%20LE

Its a 7870 LE which essentially is a 7930. It's a sub $250 card that when OC'd beats out an Nvidia 670. Thats nuts.

If warranty is your top concern buy EVGA. They will honor that thing till judgement day.

Also i'd go AMD for this build. And i'm a lifetime intel user, so that should say something.

Warranty and Asus in the same sentence lol. Be weary with that. There's another guy here who just got his motherboard back with the memory slots melted from a crap solder job. Another member had 4+ RMA's just to get his board working right. Another had all his information lost and no one knows where his motherboard is.
