i think im just going to go with the single drive look like someone else said to do so it just rolls over to the Hdd once the ssd is full

You mean the adware is telling you you have a virus.

If I was you I would boot into a linux CD and just copy everything off that is needed and format. Don't risk taking the virus with you ether. Copy everything you need to a separate driver and then scan the stuff you just copied over.

yes i took the stuff that i need and i put it to a zip folder ( 80gb folder, 11 hrs to compress) then im going to scan that with my laptop, then install new os onto old computer then put files in correct places

your gonna need to uncompress to scan.
Honestly unless you really need to conserve space I wouldn't compress the data at all.

and their hdd is the most annoying thing in the world, i keep on thinking that my phones vibrating, and its rlly rlly hot for some reason. like cooking eggs hot
EDIT: now i know why they keep the cabinet closed, this hdd is rlly bad

Why not both? Would still be cheaper than building a new system. As for that floppy, you can lose it if no one uses it, but it's not doing any harm is it?

Op you said their hdd is scalding hot, their hdd is gonna fail mid process. You need to point a fan at that thing before it burns out. Hdds can only take around 40*c or so before failure.
