ok i i got it compressed, but karma is against me when it comes to copying it to a usb device, first it shuts down on my for an update, then i asccidentaly hit the extension cord and it becomes un pluged. ***.

on a side note, does anyone know if bestbuy sells ssds/hdds

why i think this isnt right: I have a WD caviar blue in my gaming pc and it sits hidden in the case in a place of no airflow and it has never even been noticeably different to the touch, even when gaming.

newer WD's when they are running correctly even in an OEM pc with poor air flow will cool just fine. The difference with the one that is in your grandparents pc is that the computer is probably on a botnet. The viruses and all those goodies are constantly reading and writing to the drive and increasing the heat. A game doesn't really read/write that often so that makes perfect sense.

You could go with a SSD for caching to speed up the HDD, or could get more space. Will it just be using email, or also some software?

actually yeah you missed alot, im just going to replace the hdd and add a ssd and see how that goes with win7, if it dosnt work then the new build would have this this Case and 2 fans that were on a page somewhere.
