My Insignia television costed $250 brand new 3 years ago and it supports full 1080p @ 60Hz refresh.

Not everyone makes the best buying decisions, or does research before. There are still 720p/1080i TVs sold.

I'd guess there are, but they'd have to be really cheap, or people extremely stupid.

RGB 4:4:4 (Full RGB) means all the colors (0 to 255)

HDTV's run 16-235 (limited RGB) you correct that with those RGB settings.

It only change your colors (color pallate ?) signal to the HDTV.

So yes, you can use full RGB on HDTV's but that doesnt mean its the right setting for it.

There are plenty of 32" HDTV that are 1080p. Even if the TV was 720p the text should appear sharp. Like it has been said the fuzzines is most probably an overscanning issue.

Change the name of the source to DVI. Thats how I fixed the problem on my samsung syncmaster. It has a TV tuner in it. By changing the name for some reason it fixes the problem with fuzzy looks. Also changing the name of the HDMI to DVI makes sound work over HDMI for some reason.

SO, change HDMI source name to DVI or PC, and it should fix it.

Thanks all for your suggestions. I have told him to look for the overscan option on the tv and to ensure overscan is not enabled. He told me overscan was set to 0% in CCC last night so I moved on. Trust be verify might be the name of the game here. Didn't think overscan could be a setting on the tv as well. I also linked him to 12.10 drivers to see if that helps. Who knows, it might!

I've sent him the updated ideas. Again, thanks all. This is what makes overclock.net is such a great community.
