Heaven bench overclock issue? min fps lower with higher OC

So i have a evga 560ti and im just mucking around with msi afterburner.. im no overclocker so i had a question..

basically at stock 850 core/ 2052 mem my heaven 4.0 scores are

fps: 18.8
score: 473
min fps: 10.6
max fps: 42.6

but then when i overclock to a mild 920 core / 2120 mem my scores are

fps: 19,9
score: 501
min fps: 6.0
max fps: 46.7

Why is my minimum fps taking a beating..? Whats the explaination behind it? I dont want to mess with voltages just yet so they havent been altered.. i went to 940 core but got artifacts so 920 was the best without Volt OC.. so yeah can someone tell me what the dealio is?

it happens with me as well. All you need to do is to run the bench and it'll sort itself out. The best reason i could think of would be because you must have something running on your system during the bench.

the only things that are running are chrome, task manager, afterburner and heaven..? So im not sure.

EDIT: hmm i jsut dropped it to 916core / 2121 mem and got

fps: 20.5
score: 516
min fps: 10.5
max fps: 46.4

so id really love to know how / the reasoning why this happens haha

well im not sure why would this happen but someone on this forum had a similar issue where he would try to get his card(7970) to 1200 and bench but would get lower score than when he would drop it to 1150.

yeah..that happens..lower it a hair..

Im just not sure why it happens.. and im curious

Overclocked memory too high so error correction is kicking in most likely. Or perhaps your GPU overclock is just unstable.
Or it needs more voltage. Since it is not getting it. You are getting worse results.

Apparently my evga 560ti cant be voltage boosted.. everytime it try alter it and apply it goes back to stock haha. So basically my card is a derp and i can get 70mhz more core out of it and thats it.. what a waste of an OCing experience..

Possible bios update needed to unlock voltage? OEM card that is locked?
