Flashing lines.

Thread Starter
Hey guys. I built my computer a few months back and up until about 3 weeks ago its been running fine. Then out of nowhere i've been getting red/green lines flickering across my screen while playing games and even when im just generally browsing. I'm assuming it my gpu but do any of you know what it could be? I'm not all that knowledgeable about gpu's. I have a msi twin frozr III 660 oc.

Thanks for any help.

Could you provide further details of your system. Try this http://www.overclock.net/t/1258253/how-to-put-your-rig-in-your-sig
meanwhile, have you tried to overclock the card ?

Thanks for the speedy reply. Ill just type it out here,it'll be easier. I have an i3 3220,8gb ram,msi h77ma-g43 motherboard and the above mentioned gpu. I tried to overclock it once and then quickly learnt that this card does not like it (crashed and said it had a driver error). I haven't tried since.

well can you run a few benches with Heaven 3.0/4.0, Furmark and post the temps. Also, does it still inhibit similar symtoms

I just tried unigine and ran a benchmark. None of the same flashing lines while that was running. And the highest my gpu got was 54c. It 1st started with The binding of isaac and then recently playing path of exile. But other games don't seem to make it do it as much.

It could be that there are certain settings configured differently in the CCC than with the games you play. You might wanna set the application profiles to use default application settings.
