OP you state that you are running 3 monitors at 5760 x 1080 at 120 hz. if thats the case a single GTX 680 is going to be underpowered and instead of going GTX 680 SLI go for the Titan. wait for reviews on Monday. its a single chip with performance close to GTX 690. massive 6 GB framebuffer on a 384 bit memory bus. huge bandwidth at 288 Gb/s. ideal for multi monitor setups. thumb.gif

Which part are you confused? If you must go to 4GB, go to Gigabyte Windforce 4GB....it's a great card, using 680 PCB (If I'm not mistaken), the cooler on MSI 680 4GB is not as good as on the Lightning (TF III vs TF IV) but still very good.

as much as the titan does look pretty impressive with its 6GB of Vram and a 384 it bus, it only has a base clock of 875Mhz with no boost clock option unless asus or evga make there own version with a higher boost clock option, also they say that 2 gtx 680s sli would out preform one titan, and as for the gigabyte i was going but i couldn't find one good review, and the lightning is only 2GB, or that would have been my first choice. As for the twin frozr, i have heard nothing but good reviews on it, with it being a fast card with low temps.

Nvidia is trying to stop every supplier from voltage tampering, so your oc's are going to be similar across all of them. I think what you choose should be based on whether or not you're air cooling, moving to wc later, your case size (some of these cards have huge fan coolers), and your preference on aesthetics. I personally like the looks of the reference cards. EVGA for me is the way to go. Remember too that the EVbot doesn't work with the newer versions, but only the older ones, now that Nvidia has had their say.

i plan on water cooling so i guess temps arent a huge factor in my choice and my case is a full tower so i got some room to play with, also after looking at the latest leaked charts, im thinking 2 titans might be the way to go however it might be hard to get, becuase they are saying there is only going to be a limited number made, however i still would like to know which 680 is best too incase i do decide to go with 680s
post #17 of 20
I think you should wait for the Titan, IMO...even the card only have lower base clock (let's say 875 Mhz), but the performance is great.... 50% faster than GTX 680....+ 6gb of VRAM...so you will not worry about VRAM for a long time...I don't care about the clock....as long as the performance is great or meet my need, I am fine.

In my humble opinion then, older model Classified's, with the EVbot would be worth tracking down. Solely for the voltage control and overclocking capabilities. If I did my research before I spent my money, It's the route I would've went.
