Power Draw, Tri-fire/Quad-Fire 7970

Thread Starter
I'm considering upgrading to X-79 and adding one or two more 7970s (more than likely just one). What kind of power draw am I going to see with one additional card? I plan on benching pretty heavily at the beginning, possibly upwards of 1.3v. In addition to that I would try to push the 3930k I would be getting to 5ghz+, would 1000 Watt be enough or should I go higher? I know at stock it would be perfectly fine, I'd rather have extra room past that just in case however.

I have 3 and a 3770. With 3d mark 11 when oc and using 1.3 v on the cards I get just under 1000W draw at the wall . Furmark draw goes 1000W plus but not sure how much as my metre only goes to 10000w. I might add I have 20fans and two pumps too.

For 3 cards a 1000W should be ok. If you have one keep it , if not get a bigger one now so that in the future you could add the fourth card. I would get another 7970 but not sure my Corsair 1200 is up to the task.
