Please don't read this as a loaded/fanboy/flaming question - it's a genuine curiosity - why do you want to move away from AMD?

I really hope the pricing for this thing doesn't get out of hand. ARES2 cards here in Australia are going for $2000 in shops. Which is ridiculous. Even the Devil 13 and GTX 690selling for $1400-1600 is mind boggling.

Good that EK is already making a water block and even better itmight come out with the tough look the R7990 block had. No circles looks badass.

I would like to be able to do three monitor 2d surround gaming 5760x1200, and water cool the GPU(s). Two 4gb GTX 670s plus water blocks is around $1100, and an EVGA 690 hydro copper is $1200.

Are either of those the best way to go, or does the new Titan fit in there somewhere based on what people are assuming so far?

For surround your best bet is 3-way SLI 4GB GTX 670. GTX 690 doesn't have the VRAM and Titan SLI although may be better, maybe a hell of a lot better it'll be really really expensive.

Yes but you shouldn't. The card doesn't have three of the same display outputs which equals horrible screen tearing with or without Vsync and it won't be powerful enough either.

Crysis 3 maxed out at 2560x1440p with the highest of AA settings? Awww, yissss....though to be fair, I can pretty much accomplish that at 4-8xAA now....lol.

If a single Titan can come within 80-85% of a GTX 690's performance, we're talking roughly around a 60-70% performance increase between a GTX 690 and GTX Titans in SLI - that's pretty astronomical, considering what's available at the moment.

I still see GTX 690s selling for pretty much close to launch prices, so i have no problems selling mine to pick up a Titan. Having said that, if the rumored $1K price is true, I really couldn't justify a pair of Titans in SLI...that's another $1K for that 60-70% performance increase (at best), and even THAT is too rich for my blood.

If the Titan launches at $800.00, i'll gladly sell my 690 and pick up a pair...but any higher, and i'll be holding off for a GTX 780s in SLI, or a GTX 790.

I'm right there with you. We will hopefully know more later tonight. Current rumors have them at only 60% faster then a stock 680. That would put Titan at only 65-67% of a 690. And that is not enough for me to pull the trigger on a pair. If it comes within 80% of a 690 then I'll gladly pay 2k for two in Sli. If the 65% holds true like you I'll wait and grab the 790 this summer.
