which audio note dac do you have. and pics plz(for some reason i doubt you really have a audionote dac)

i personally have the dac 5

Only complete morons would think otherwise, jeez.

I should pull up my data on colour composition and image clarity that clearly depicts that Picasso was superior to Monet.

lol someone caught on, if only young kiwi here would grow up faster. shame

because they haven't read up on audio related science and in this hobby it's essential that you do as there is so many audio myths. EQing the sound via buying different source gear with 'sound signatures' goes directly against what a source / input is supposed to do whether it be the DAC stage, amp stage, preamp stage, is mindbloggingly inefficient in which you have minimal control over and makes it sound less accurate. Whether you prefer this inaccuracy (via increased even harmonics) is your choice really. Also have you even tried that EQ? Gees, it even has an academic paper you can read.. 'Tube rolling' is really a grossly inefficient and expensive way to EQ your sound. I can provide lots of audio science reading links with 'layman's talk' if you wish. DW, I used to lap up all that audiofoolery but then I realise the dark side of it and how really, you can get away with so much manipulation, false advertising, false promises and massive stretches of truth and get away with it scot free.

http://www.coconut-audio.com/ - is a hilarious and genius parody of this sort of advertisement and targetting that's often advertised as 'high-end audio'.

Like...
Every audio solution and design relies on measurements. Massive amphitheatres don't sound good because they just blindly build and try....
Audio is really more applied physics than it is about art.
But yes, back on topic, you can PM me if you wish with replies.

well Tjj good luck with equipment hunting and enjoy whatever you get. Any chance on telling which amp you're getting? I have Little Dot MKII and working on Gamma1 modular DAC at the moment redface.gif

The amp is completely custom. Aside from him sort of trolling chinese wiki, spriggs is building me an amp.
