I'm going to have to agree with this, I have this exact card and it's amazingly cool and quiet for the value, clocks very well too. Also I have had a really good experience with HIS overall as their RMA service is top notch and cards are the best you can get fort he money.

do you think the triple slot ASUS 7950's are good at all?

Sapphires got my eye, its cheap and looks cool, and clocks seem high smile.gif

I've had 2 sapphire cards die on me, just like to chime that in. A x1950 xge, and a 6970 vietnam. I've only ever had 2 sapphire cards. I have had 2 HIS cards as well, both of which are still alive, a 3870 i sold to a friend who put it in his daughter's computer, and this 6970 i am currently running.

Of the companies I've used, (pny, bfg, xfx, his, sapphire.) Sapphire is the only manufacturer where the card hasn't lasted.

the newegg model is a newer update of the sapphire HD 7950 boost. it comes with a shorter PCB at 27 cm. the dual x cooler has as slight change in look. the connectors are different too. dual link dvi, single link dvi, HDMI , dsiplayport

http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/?cid=1&gid=3&sgid=1157&pid=1841&psn=&lid=1&leg=0

the original Sapphire HD 7950 boost is 29 cm long. dual link dvi, HDMI, 2 mini displayport.

http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/?cid=1&gid=3&sgid=1157&pid=1713&psn=&lid=1&leg=0

also newegg does not show the game bundle with the card you listed. so go for sapphire HD 7950 boost from superbiiz. the best price for that card.
