GTX 680 fans go loud and PC restarts?

Thread Starter
For the past few days, my PC has been restarting randomly, my 2 EVGA GTX 680 card fans go loud for a few seconds and than it restarts, this happens at random, it can go for an hour and not happen or it can happen within 5 minutes of turning my PC on, I have no OC on my cards and my temps are 30-40c idle and around 50-60 when playing a game, my fan speed is at 65. When it reboots I look at the more details in the error message that comes up and it says that I have a BCCode of 116.

My first guess would be something that should be just warm on the card is instead hot, so for example a bad contact between the unisink and the VRMs or bad coverage of the thermal tape on a VRM etc. Try to isolate it to one card by running just one in your system, and then if you can identify the faulty card then contact EVGA for replacement.
