Well I have not reseated the processor or GPU yet. I am going to try that next. Really, I think I have a faulty motherboard. I am almost willing to bet that there is a voltage leak, or a solder bridge on it somewhere. More than likely I am going to send it back. Especially if reseating the CPU /GPU doesn't help. It just sucks that I am going to have to wait for a damn replacement computer to come in.

If anyone has any other ideas you think I should try let me know, I am open to any ideas.

The fan should speed up on its own when the laptop starts to get hot. Does it not do that at all?

OK RMA has been issued. It will be going back this morning.

I am also writing a list of things to do to get it to shut off. Today I was moving some music over to my new PC and watching Linus's Tech Tips in 1080p and it shut down. Man I hope they fix this.

you bought it from xotic pc Dont worry they are the best, when i shipped my sig rig laptop to the middle east the fans where all disconnected i had the same problem as u i was scared to death as a 2.5k machine just died in front of me O.O i contacted them and they sent me a PDF file and a video on how to open it and everything, the point is that they are very very very helpful and i can guarantee that your machine will get fixed with a lot of care biggrin.gif

Lol. This is what you get from XoticPC. I had bought a laptop from them about a year ago and had about 5-10 random BSODs a day within the first week. Doesnt make me feel any better that during pre shipping testing they ended up frying the last CPU they had of the one I ordered somehow and told me that if i wanted my laptop quicker I'd have to fork over another $200 to get the slightly better CPU. Even though they're the ones who caused the problem.

They're a bunch of jokes. I went and bought an off the shelf ASUS G55 and haven't had a single problem since. Just RMA and get a laptop from a reputable company. One who won't fry your CPU to try to get more money from you.

That's just my experience though. Maybe they did less of a hackjob on yours than they did mine.

Well I can't blame any of this on XoticPC.com. They just took my order Sager built the PC and Sager sent it out. XoticPC never even looked at the computer. I do think that XoticPC needs to have systems that they themselves build and test. But that is neither here nor there. The fact is, it is getting fixed and I will be satisfied with XoticPC. Sager on the other hand is sort of a let down. I expected a lot out of the company, I am still a fan but I definitely want my computer to run like it should.

Dude it is a bad ass machine. I just got a lemon. I very seriously doubt there will be anything wrong with the one you get. I can promise you, you will love it! It is a beautiful laptop, and it looks professional. It Is very well built and you will be happy to know that the tech support at XoticPC it top notch. They responded quickly to all my questions I even got calls from them letting me know what was up.

I still have yet to ship back the computer, I wanted to document all the problems so that they could replicate them in their lab. I am done and will be boxing it up and shipping It off on monday.
When you get your laptop let us all know how it ran. I am sure your post here will let others know that I had a one in a million machine. Sager isn't known for selling crappy computers, actually it is quite the opposite.
