GTX 700 series estimated release date?

Thread Starter
Does anyone know what is the estimated/speculated release date for the GTX 700 series?

IIRC last year Nvidia released the GTX-680 just before the GTC and either announced or released the GTX-690 at the GTC. Can one expect a similar approach this time also?

Said to be around Q3. But, I'm guessing it will get pushed back to December.

Rumors have led us to not expect any new GPUs from either side until the end of the year, except for the titan which should release in a matter of hours.

People still quoting off rumors as if nvidia said it..I dont see them going that long waiting with the 700 series and the titan being released now and crysis 3 dropping. So to release the 28mn kepler series at end of 2013 and 20mn maxwell series late 2014? yea right that doesnt honestly make sense..The gpu technology conf coming up march 18 lets see what happens between march-april

These are my thoughts as well. With the Titan coming out they'll want to get some sales on that card before bringing out the next generation cards. Last thing they want are for those things to collect dust.

Yes "people" may be quoting rumors as facts, but I think I made it quite clear that the information I provided was based solely on rumors. I mean i started my freaking sentence with the word rumors...

But this card costs $1000. It's not for mainstream enthusiasts. Already the prices of GTX-680s are coming down, albeit, marginally.

I've heard $1000 , I've heard $800, and I e heard $900. It's not released to the public yet so that's still speculation. Though I'd be surprised to see it any cheaper than $900. And where are you seeing cheaper 680's? The price is still the same as I've seen them for awhile. Unless you mean ebay and the like. ((Used market))

It is 100% confirmed by many sources to be a $999 MSRP. Even the official NVIDIA site has it at $999. thumb.gif

Would not be surprised if it launches at 1049.99-1149.99 though. They'll probably try to screw us because the launch will be very limited. Not to mention people have already pulled benchmarks from review sites, and titan is only about 45% faster than a 680. Expect the 780 to be only 15-20% faster than a 680.
