I said it wasn't AS well suited. I didn't claim that controllers were completely ill suited for fps games. Please don't twist my words.

I completely reject the idea that there is some perceived higher skill when you simply have more tools available to you. Its a DSLR vs. point & shoot argument.
That's simply your opinion. Comparing scores from Metacritic and Gamerankings, Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Reach all have >90% aggregate review, so they are by no means inconsistent.
