My scanning didn't pick up anything. Neither did everyone elses. EVGA is just mad the site released it early I'm sure. If it wasn't a "final" version, then why would Nvidia/EVGA be giving it out to reviewers to use rolleyes.gif

Worst-case scenario, it's not the final version, like speculated. But I doubt it's a virus/malware.

I just upgraded a few weeks ago, max OC vs. max OC it's about 90% for me, and over 100% gain in Crysis 2 with DX11 and texture pack. Both on water.

6970 was at 1000/1450

7970 at 1275/1550

7970 has been out a year, with a year's worth of driver updates. We're talking about stock v. stock.

No it wasn't.

Try 25-30% upon launch.

At 2560x1600
6970 to 7970 = 50%
6970 to 7970GE = 62.5%

When both are overclocked the difference will be higher than 50%. Cayman doesn't overclock so well.

If you comparing the jump from GK104 to GK110, then you need to consider the state that they both launched at. The 7970 was nowhere near 50% faster than a 6970 at two megapixels when it launched.

EDIT: This thread is about Titan, though, so let's try not to trial off too much thumb.gif

Maybe now its close to 40-70%, but when it launched, the 7970 wasn't any more than 30% faster than a 6970.

People keep telling you that the gains will be seen at higher resolutions as opposed to lower resolutions were games aren't shader-limited. It almost seems like you have an agenda at this point as you keep regurgitating this spiel throughout this thread.

Yeah, I don't know. Crysis 2 was horrible compared to the excellent Crysis 1 / warhead in every respect except graphics; The AI was stupid, the levels were boxed in straight line start to finish (crysis 1/WH had open levels where you could explore ) and the story was completely stupid. The enemies were also completely repetitive.

Good grief, I hated crysis 2 in comparison to 1 and warhead. Crysis 3 is a definite wait and see for me.

Crysis 2 is only useful as a benchmark to me. As a game it sucks compared to the prior 2.

We weren't talking about stock vs stock. Interesting how you can join a conversation after the fact and decide for us what we were really talking about. rolleyes.gif

People can keep telling me whatever they want, they're free to be wrong as are you. If we won't see much difference at 1080p between a 680 and a Titan I guess there's no reason for anybody running 1080p to ever upgrade their video card again, right? rolleyes.gif
