Volt moding a 8800GTX

Hey guys,

I was wondering if there are any volt mods for these cards. Gonna be getting my water block soon, so I think I can dissipate the heat from it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Okay thanks for the link, interesting read, but I did notice one thing.

22,799 3D Mark 06 with just 822/1240!! In SLI Mode, it's all CPU bottlenecked now, I need more CPU Power. Like in Game Test 1, I get same frame rate at stock GPU clocks. More overclocking to come for sure!
Do you think I will get the same affect with a single GTX?

No, it shouldnt be as bad, since you wont be running SLI, and thus will only have half the GPU processing power. That being said, if you managed to get the clocks that high I would imagine you would be as bottlenecked as a GTX SLI setup, stock settings... which is to say, still extremely bottlenecked.

Well 822/1240 are some serious speed!!, lol. I have mine at 625/1000 right now. Not sure if I can get anymore without v modding. Only problem I have is soldering a VR to increase the core volts. I mean I am fine with penciling a resistor to do it like the mem volts.

Yeah, thats what im saying, I would imagine getting your 8800 GTX up to 822/1240 would be just as potent as two 8800 GTX's in SLI at stock timings, because you wouldnt have to deal with the overhead that you get from SLI. And yeah, I would do it if it wasnt for the soldering, soldering scares the crap out of me.
