MCP 655b question

Thread Starter
So I broke the 655 vario button and it's stuck on speed 1. Can I somehow open the actual pump up to fix this or am I stuck with it broken.

I guess I can still use the pump while it's stuck on setting 1, not sure how that will affect performance though.

Any ideas or suggestions on how to fix it maybe or if it's still usable stuck on setting 1.

Thanks

I used a 655-B for a long time, but recently a bought a vario.
Im using it with a RX480, a Rx240, a cpu block and a vga full block.

I want everything to be as quiet as possible so I turned the pump down to setting one, expecting to see a major hit on temps, but havent seing none.

So I guess the pump it is still useable, but be careful with temps.

Usable at speed setting 1? Yes should be alright, although I wouldn't go overboard with your overclock.
Take is apart to try to repair it? I think you're asking for trouble doing that. Might end up just destroying it entirely and then it would be useless.

That's great. How did you take the top off? I don't want to break it and than how the heck do you put it together again? Does it just twist off?

Use a screw driver to pop it off. There is nothing holding it on, its just a press fit.
