No. It turns on triple buffer which eliminates input lag. Its very good. Also Dynamic Vsync only turns on Vsync when the framerate exceeds the refresh rate.
Triple buffering means that an extra frame is buffered, which means you get exactly one frame more lag.

Its funny that you think this, when its actually buffering an extra frame in advance to give it a boost. Triple buffer eliminates input lag and helps Vsync a lot.

what people dont understand is the 3rd buffer isnt in series, its in parallel to the regular back buffer and alternatley renders so one frame is always newer. In series would be render ahead, and INCREASES lag.

Think of a triangle with the front buffer at the top, and the 2 back buffers at the bottom.

both of your links backup my statements, im not sure what you are pointing at here...

TB is a D3D spec, the generation of GPU is irreverent.

1. We've already begun fixing DirectX 9 latency with the 13.2 betas.
2. DirectX 11 latency is now being looked at.
3. FC3 is a separate issue, unrelated to 1 or 2, that is being looked at by another team simultaneously with #2.
4. Same for #3 on AC3.

Is it true that FC3 stuttering is caused by the game trying to load all the textures for the island at once?

Yeah I think that's the issue. Whenever this happens I alt+tab back to the desktop and back to game and it fixes the issue. The stuttering is gone though for me with the 13.2b6 drivers though.
