Wanted:
WTB 570GTX Twin Frozr III PE Cooling Fans

Will Ship To: Anywhere

It's a long shot but I'm trying to buy the two fans for a Twin Frozr III. If you have a burnt out Twin Frozr laying around and the fans are still good let me know.

Two of the fins on one of my fans have been knocked off and I want to try and replace the OEM fan instead of getting an aftermarket cooler.

It's not that long of a shot. You can often find a suitable fan online, like on EBay. I'd stick to name brand, non-shipping from China if possible.

If you are looking for the EXACT matching fan then you may try buying a dead card exactly like yours. Sometimes there are heatsink/fans for sale, but you are just as likely to find an entire dead card. On Ebay you will have to be patient, and do weekly search. Most auctions are posted for a week and start at $0.99 so if it's posted, it will likely sell. It helps to watch the sale and post a winning bid last second. It doesn't hurt to be the leading bidder prior to that. It forces others to try to bid you higher last second, and then you can get the final bid just slightly over them. Sometimes you will find "buy it now" prices which are often way too high but once in awhile are very good on certain items. Also, scour the rest of the net. Try Googling things like "FS: dead 570GTX", "FS: 570GTX heatsink" or just "For Sale 570GTX". Any combination of the right words may produce a winning result.

[opinion, not meant to hijack the post]
The problem is most tech sites, and this one included like to exclude people outside of the community from becoming aware/an active part of the community by limiting who can buy/sell on the site to only those active within the site. It's a real problem, one which I have argued with moderators on more than one site about. An true enthusiast does not frequent only one website, that greatly limits their news coverage, purchasing/selling power, etc. The reason I bring this up is that you may find what you want but cannot get to it, due to silly rules that the website has about you needing a thousand posts or some crap.

I honestly believe it is in a community's best interest to be more open - and the same successful business model can be found everywhere. Apple of course, is the rarity - but can you imagine their sales if people like myself didn't refuse to buy their products as a result of their marketing, their secrecy, and their hiding of issues with their products? (they deleted forum posts about people having issues with products on their site!) I refuse to buy any overpriced Apple products. iTunes is also quite annoying. Window installation companies, GM, and Apple are all MARKETING COMPANIES.

If you want a suitable fan that isn't necessarily the same exact fan ask these questions:

How many pins do the fan headers have? What size is the fan? How is it mounted? What is the required voltage? With these answers you can usually find what you are looking for. If it's the wrong color that's fine, you can often paint them. If reselling is what you are after you may not be able to find the EXACT fan.

Thanks for the info. I'm replacing it because it makes a horrible noise at 100%. It sounds like it's going to vibrate right out of my case because it's so unbalanced.

I've got the specs for the fan, it's a Power Logic Model:PLD08010S12HH. Dimensions are 75mm x 10mm with 3 mounting points that are 50mm apart from each other. (measurements were taken myself) It's a 7 wire 4 pin connecter. DC 12V 0.35A

I've contacted MSI hoping they have extra ones laying around and I've been scouring websites looking for one that will be an exact fit.

I don't care if it's not the OEM fan as long as it plugs up and bolts in (I will do soldering to make it work if i have to). I just want to keep the stock cooler if it is an option for me.

I really hope it helped. When I type in HD4850 for instance, EBay will pop up some fans that fit certain HD4850s. Granted, there are different coolers for that card.

But if you know the exact size or just type in "GPU fan" or "video card fan" it might show you something of use as well.
