Cant wait to get my S3 just ordered the Pedestal and case.

Pedestal will be used to store DVD Drive HDD and Fan Controller

So, while it looks like a full matx would be too much for an S3 to handle, perhaps a FlexATX sized board would be a perfect fit? Like a Gigabyte Z97M-DS3H ?

The S3 was discontinued at the beginning of the year, so if you want one best bet is to find one used.

I have an S3 already, 4790k on a Asus M6I, 7990, custom loop.
