Having seen them, I've got a couple of questions:
1) Can anyone tell me why are there PSU mounting spots in the pedestal? Maybe it's just me, but I can't figure out why people would want to use it when there's a dedicated spot under the mobo tray for a PSU
2) Are there going to be options for a vented PSU cover plate? I'm going dual rads but will not go crossflow through the pedestal, so I'm sure I'll need venting front and back
- Going to decide what to buy after seeing the S5
Check the Accessories section of the Caselabs store under upgraded cover plates. They sell ventilated PSU cover plates for $9.95 which appears to be $4 more than the solid blanking plates. I almost used one recently when using a Pico PSU in a build (in fact that is how I first discovered Caselabs) but I found an old Atechfabrication plate with a fan cut out among my parts. I really like how the Caselabs Honeycombed plate looks. You can probably specify the upgrade when you purchase the pedestal but you might have to contact them directly. They also offer a ventilated triple flex-bay cover that I assume you could use on the front of the pedestal.
I personally was excited to see the PSU mounts since the pedestal will make a great case by itself for some other projects I am working on. It would also allow for redundant or extra PSUs if power demands cannot be met by a single PSU.
