!!Finally!! looks like i finally won the lottery with screenshots

I just got my 5th 3770k and have had it about an hour I delided right away since I have already done 4 chips, took me about 10 mintues this time. I can't believe how easy it is to delid these chips. Anyway I went straight for 4.8ghz since i wouldn't have been happy if i couldn't get that.

tell me how my chip is looking to you guys

i am running the Samsung green miracle memory at 1866 9-9-9-27-1t at 1.385v

3770k at 4.8ghz

max vcore is 1.352 but stays at 1.344 mostly

ambient temps monitored with probes are 24c (75f)

chip batch 3232a635 microcenter 229.99 (again lol)

rest of what i own is accurate in my sig except for my current ram.

btw i used mx-4 on the top of IHS this time as the LP took all the lettering off my chip, hope its not hard to sell. I also decided to actually take a picture after i applied LP this time for everyone.

Have you tried to hit 4.9/5?
You gold chip farmers are nuts! Hehe. Especialy with the IB delidding shinanigans.
Technicaly couldnt you resell the other chips to a fellow overclocker who would have wanted to delid anyways? I know id be too chicken to do it myself redface.gif

Congratulations! I wish my chip could do 4.8 at voltage like that. Hell, it actually might but I'm kind of afraid to go past 4.5 because I'm already running temps higher than what I'm usually comfortable with. Have you tried any other stability test other than IBT? From my experience IBT runs even on very unstable ocs. Hell my chip did 10 runs of IBT with around 1.12V@4.5 but crashed within 15 minutes in Prime95.

yea i have to sell on CL because for some reason i cant get enough reps on here to post in the for sale forums so i just sell it locally for $200 and take a $30 loss its worth it. and no i stated i only had it for an hour and still running the same test i posted a screen shot of i am running a 25 run of IBT on max to ensure stability first. but i am at 82c and i don't feel comfortable over 85c and 1.4 volts. I will prolly try for 5.0 next just for fun and see what happens but i have a bit of testing yet at this overclock left.

temps are still a bit hot tho?
4.8ghz and 82C...

im at 83C with 5.0ghz with my aircooler..

curious what you need to make the 4.8ghz stable,
i needed 1.420V vcore for mine, but it isnt the bestest ocer i have ..lol

I was thinking is was a little hot as well, but not enough for me to worry about redoing the LP application. and I wanted to keep it at 1.35v or under so like I said for fun I will try 5.0 but prolly won't keep it there. I too am using an air cooler the NH-d14 in my cig. Here is the results after 20 IBT runs I will still do my 24hour prime test but I have never had a chip pass 20 IBT runs and fail 24h prime test at least in my experiences.

your liquid pro application on the pics look good to me,
maybe its the mx4 you used then can be applied better,
but yea, if youre happy with the temps, and not going to oc it more, all good,
4.8ghz is a great oc anyways ..lol smile.gif
have fun thumb.gif

just for the hell of it I redid the LP and mx-4 again just to be 100% sure and everything is the same still 83c on the hottest core this chip defineatly doen'st cool as my last one at high voltages. but this is A stepping and my previous was B stepping.
Could you post a link explaining the different IVB steppings? I thought they all were made on the same stepping after engineering samples. :O
