These new beta drivers have completely fixed my stuttering issues with Far Cry 3. This is a great update.

Mmm there is no mention of the Unigine performance boost. Accident? redface.gif

Also as someone who has xfire and crysis 3 preloaded, with this beta can I expect as good as or better performance as Nvidia cards at the same level?

Not so much in fps terms maybe a little, but mainly in smoothness. There is almost no micro stutter any more in this game. Running at 1440p, Full Ultra AAx0, 7970 @ 1125/1563. Also there is no flashing corruption any more as witnessed in previous drivers. Yes before you ask im using afterburner for voltage control and overclocking as well. Very impressed. thumb.gif
Good question.

I have just registered here, and this is my first post. I hope to get some help with my issue smile.gif
Since my 9800PRO, and through an 800XL and a 4670, and now with a new HD7850, Warcraft III/DOTA micro-stutters when I scroll the map with the keyboard. I have gone through many patches with this issue, and re-installed it many times.

I have had this with an Athlon XP 3200+ and now an Intel Core 2 Duo E7500, both at stock and overclocked. DDR and DDR2. AGP and PCI-E (was on AGP until HD7850). I had an Antec, Thermaltake Toughpower, and now Rosewill Fortress 90+ Platinum power supplies. I had an LG LCD and now I have a Samsung PX2370. Was on Windows XP(32 bit) and now on Windows 7(64 bit). I have tried running in compatibility modes on both OS. The only thing that has stayed the same has been an ATI/AMD card. CPU usage maybe reaches 20% and GPU usage also is low. Actually, it sometimes even goes into power-saver mode, causing FPS drops - not very good in a competitive game like DOTA. Why? Starcraft 2, STALKER, Supreme Commander, Crysis, DOTA 2...why is it that only this now VERY old game still has micro-stutter?

Thraks, is this review accurate? http://www.pcgameshardware.de/Crysis-3-PC-235317/Tests/Crysis-3-Benchmark-Test-Grafikkarten-1056218/

Because if it is, it does not look good. Crysis 3 is a "Gaming Evolved" title, there is a lot of gumph around about how AMD worked with Crtyek for the best possible gaming experience, and all that...
A lot of it is stuff put out by AMD.

If more reviews come out, and if they all, like this show the 7970GE slower than the GTX 680, and the standard 7950 on parr with the GTX 660TI.

Well, you know how some reviewers are just looking for an opportunity to shout bad press to drum up page hits.

I, also as a 7870 owner about to buy Crysis 3 do not want be lagging behind and low end GTX 660 for pitty's sake!

Do you have some more work to do? or do you need to be having a word with PCgames Hardware?

If its the former, i ask, what happened between my attached slide and now? look...
