Will Soundblaster z power DT770 (250 0hm) okay?

Thread Starter
Hey, I wanted to know if my soundblaster z card would power those headphones okay or not. the 250 ohms ones are cheaper than the 80 ones so I thought I would get those instead if my sound card can power them(it says it has a 600 amp). I have a pc 360 headset that I am going to sell because they hurts my head and I heard the DT770 were comfy so I thought I would get them and sell my pc 360s.. I like to play fps and mmos but when i play mmos i listen to music and movies. I play mmos the most so that's why I am considering the DT770. will these headphones be good for me? I like all types of music and movies. I'm no audio freak so as long as they're comfy and sound good is all i care about.

sorry for bad grammar.

my first post! lol, i have read these forums for years but never created an account.

are the 250 ohms just as good as the 80 ones?
The 80 might have slightly more bass. I would buy the 250 even if they were the same price.

It will be ok for lower volumes but struggle a bit at higher volumes.

You wont get the sound stage that you could expect from those cans on a higher end headphone amp either.

does anyone know a trusted vendor that has Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO, 80 ohms for sale for around 180? I tried looking on google but they're all unknown to me

I'm also considering buying used ones off ebay.

Guitar Center has them, but I'm not sure if they're that cheap.

Amazon has them for 170 right now, but make sure you check the seller feedback.

Guitar Center will price match, though.
