hey guys im building my first Gaming PC Ever. however i dont have a large budget (500$) and i need to get ram. mobo .cpu and gpu.

my current pc is a dell inspiron 560. and i added a 5670 HD 512mb....and yea my case is a minitower so im gonna get a matx board because is all i can afford. atm all i can play is cod4 in low settings and some mmo games

im from chicago and i found out about a store were pc parts are really cheap called Microcenter and i found the i5 2500k for only 139.99
http://www.microcenter.com/product/406960/Core_i5_2500K_33GHz_LGA_1155_Processor_-_OEM

i was reading somewhere that the z77ma-g45 board doesnt support 2500k cpus and u cant OC them... i was wondering if
there was a new BIOS update were maybe they fixed that and u can now.

the case i have now is the dell inspiron http://www.pacificgeek.com/productimages/xl/INSPIRON-560MT-FB-R.jpg
http://www.stuartconnections.com/6436-thickbox/Dell-Inspiron-560-MiniTower-Case-N06YY-with-300w-PSU-MK9GY.jpg

Im not a PC genius if you guys have some recommendations please feel free to help me out.. remember my budget is only 500$

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130647 mobo

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127699 GPU

thats the other stuff i wanted to get... i dont know if the graphics card will fit in the case but it should
in total is 500 dllrs including CPU( if yuo guys have other combos with about the same price feel free to post them)

im planning to play games like bf3,all Cods, new GTA game , and most demanding games out there

Thanks for the help in advance!

Microcenter gives $50 off a motherboard if you buy a CPU from them. So pick this up if that offer still works. Also check P8Z77-M, and Gigabyte G1 Sniper M3, and GA-Z77MX-D3H.

G45 is a terrible choice if you want to overclock due to bad VRM design.

FYI you don't want to overclock with PSU that came with Dell system unless you've replaced it already.

For GPU consider HD7870. It'll give you more performance for money.

i got this a year ago http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817152035

i defninlty cant afford the g1 sniper m3.

but between the p8z77 m and the ga z77mx which one is better for overclocking?

Raidmax unfortunately isn't known for good PSUs...

Rosewill Capstone and Corsair Builder series are good budget PSUs. I am not sure how bad that Raidmax is, but I wouldn't overclock with it.

I am not a PSU expert though, so you can ask any PSU related questions over here.

For a PSU, get a rosewill capstone 450/550W. Unless you plan on crossfiring/SLIing, that's enough for your needs

7870 Tahiti performs well, but it's up to really.

Just get a PSU down the road. 450W will do just fine.

Otherwise, you are good to go,

Alright ill check out the 7870

but now i cant decide which mobo to get the p8z77 - m u recommended has moderated OCing , did a bit reasearch about it and found out that people were overcloking the 2500k to 4ghz with this motherboard . i wanted to get to 4.5ghz , so i dont know what to get now

Unfortunately, there aren't that many good budget mATX boards. Most of them are ATX. Sound weird, right? Considering that mATX boards are smaller lol. I don't think you'll have any problems getting 4.5 Ghz on Z77-M unless it doesn't allow vcore adjustment... but I can't find any info about that.

G1 Sniper M3 can achieve 6Ghz, and P8Z77-M Pro can do at least 4.6 Ghz that I've seen from some reviews. As long as you buy them from Microcenter, you are still within that budget, right?
