Hi from AU

Thread Starter
Hi, I've been meaning to sign up for a while. I have been a member over at overclockers Australia for a few years and know my way around a computer (most times haha). I'm in the process of replacing a dead MB ATM (from a dead ASUS P8Z77M-PRO to a GIGABYTE UD3H) which has been very painful to say the least (store not wanting to play fair with the refund, long story). I'll throw up some specs when I get back onto my lappy.
Cheers,
Dogputer

Sent it for RMA. What happened to your ASUS mobo?

Short version is the first PSU died (bought from same place as MB) and took the MB with it (BIOS was completely fried). Sent it back to store for replacement but they said it tested fine. Get it back home, several socket pins are bent from them stuffing around trying to get socket cover back on... Now I'm waiting on my complaint forms to go through so I can get a refund and get a new MB. Until then, the rig is dead frown.gif.
Cheers,

That's bad. Better buy elsewhere next time.. Broken socket pins is the worst thing that can happen to a motherboard since it's not covered for RMAs.

Thank god the only other thing I bought from that store (which I still have) is a thermaltake PSU (dead anyway, will probably just chuck it cause RMA sucks), a case (corsair, don't go through store anyway) and thermal material (well, why would you need warranty on that haha).
