P5W DH Deluxe bios setting?

Thread Starter
Hi, I just finally make a move to the new c2d/pci-e combo from the p4 478/agp. So i went into the bios and started ocing the e6600, and I have oced to 340 fsb with stock vcore and a BT. However, I saw some of new option in the jumperfree config section and I don't know what to put them on, so AUTO is what i put. Those are the PCI Express Frequency, FSB Termination Voltage, MCH Chipset Voltage, ICH Chipset Voltage. Any suggestion??

Also, what other setting should i change on the P5w bios to get the most out of my overclock?

Thank

The Jumperfree Config is actually the Overclocking section of that motherboard.

Having it set to auto will allow the board to decide the best settings for the components used and at there current overclock settings. This can be useful but can prove to be problematic. I would set it to Manual.

PCI-E frequency, set that to 100. For the other three on the bottom, I'm not so sure.

Set to the following

PCI Express Frequency: 101 (some prefer 100)
FSB Term voltage: Auto
MCH chipset: 1.6 for starters (1.65v for 375+ and 1.7v for 400+ FSB's)
ICH chipset: Auto for now.

Others I can think of are
Spread Spectrum: Disable
Auto Dectect PCI frequency: Disable

Lastly, do you have an option for PCI frequency?

There's no "PCI Frequency" but there's one something like Synchronization PCI Frequency or something similar and I set it to 33 or it was 33.33...something like that?

Im running the CPU overclocked myself, about a 50% OC on an E6400 to 3.28GHz. Its operating on stock air cooling, I keep the case side panel open and aim a separate desk fan directly at the Northbridge and GC. I recently flashed to BIOS 1602, but it didnt help me in my OC... my best stable OC is still 3.28 GHz. Im running 1:1 FSB : DRAM ratio, so anything higher then 410 MHz makes my RAM conk out. In fact with my sticks I cant set any timings at all, and thats because the NB is OCed so far..oh well. As far as I can see from teaking settings, overall I dont run my CPU over 1.375V. I do have my NB running at the max, though. I have the FSB termination voltage maxed as well. Also there are some settings of which I have no clue do on this MOBO, such as PEG Link Latency and related settings. There is not much info about them on the net, but intuitively I set them to settings that kinda made sense. I set the power to heavier, set most to normal or faster. I think enabling PEG Link latency improves FPS up to a point as I can confirm a 6FPS increase in FEAR. As of the other settings, I believe they are too miniscule to detect. Other CPU options though, pretty much everything apart from microcode updation, is disabled. I dont believe this MOBO operates those CPU options such as virtualization on high OC. Also because of issues I have with timings, mine are set to SPD. All my options within the RAM settings I believe are disabled.
