Would someone shed some insight on why there would be Titans that have no boost clock? Was reading over at videocardz the comment on the Galaxy having no boost.

Is that a thermal/power limitation that would make them remove it? Lower quality GPU sample? Can't think of a reason why you would want a card that doesn't have the boost clock.

I'm hoping they cripple compute in the 780 and focus entirely on gaming performance. I couldn't care less about 6GBs so I hope it comes with 3, has less build quality, and costs $500!

I'm hoping this happens in March/April!! Fingers crossed smile.gif

The 780 will not be based off a Tesla gk110. I almost guarantee it. It will be a slightly better performing 15-20% gk114 with 3gb of vram.

No wonder why he used the picture that was leaked a while ago on his ad. He doesn`t really have any Titan`s.

Also LOL at the threats. A real hard ass biggrin.gif

Why people keep giving his listing publicity is beyond me.

Okay so my Valley calculations were off because I calculated the Titan to be 40% faster than an OC'd 7970 which it probably won't be. So lets assume instead that it is 20% faster than an OC'd 7970. The 7970 gets 60fps in Valley which would mean the Titan would get 72fps at stock. Then with a 90% SLI scale that would translate to 137fps in SLI at stock. That's just 12fps short of the 150fps set by FOUR 7970's clocked over 1300MHz! And that's at stock with 20%-30% OCing gains possible! Titan will be an absolute beast in SLI and should take over almost all of the top spots in the benchmarking section in just dual SLI (not to mention 3 and 4-way SLI)...

Well we knew it was going to be more powerful than a 7970 right? redface.gif

in theory I see what your doing but without actual numbers to start with it's hard to say.
man, is this thing here yet.?
