I also noticed Anand's preview mentions widespread availability on the 25th, with possible availability earlier.

So how much will the gtx titan cost in uk any idea. Because you can get a gtx 690 for around £750 now. If it goes for £650 and with one card you can play on 7680x1440 i just might sell my card and add money and get it. That way for me i wont need to upgrade to a new motherboard, case and another card for sli

Why are you confused? I don't know if it's true, but they're referring to the supercomputer and not the graphics card. What was the thing called before? Jaguar or some or other...

They are being very protective of information. Basically saying they can provide much more information tomorrow and labeling tomorrow as the (sale-day). Their initial stock will be from Asus. From our conversation I feel pretty confident that I'll have the two I want. I will know for sure tomorrow if I'm getting them. Its safe to say he is only limiting information because he is under nda. Normally he is very open when it comes to hardware discussion. He will not disclose price at all which kinda makes me wonder if rumors of 1k are indeed accurate.

AHHHH, right. thumb.gif

I was just clicking on all links, didn't even notice the link said:
"DNA of World's Fastest Supercomputer"

Yes, Jaguar was the previous.

They're referring to: 17.59 petaFLOPS vs 1.75 petaflops

Their claim is legit.

Good previews here and commentary as I'm working through the lengthy thread haha.

I think that yeah a minimum of 40-50% over a 680 would thus equate to $750-800 so while the price to performance isn't quite scaling, it's darned close.

For what it's worth, I'm able to push 1,200 core on my 680 just fine but it seems many can't do that. But still as was said, if Titan allows greater boosts and can even OC further than a 680 can, it should perform well. The fact as Murlocke and others said that it's already say, an estimated 40% faster than a 680 with clockspeed much lower is amazing (but true, the chip is huge).

Excited!
