It would also really depend on the resolution one uses. If you are comparing 2 Titans vs 4 680/7970 on a single 1080P or 1440P monitor, the 4 680/7970 would be pointless and would not scale.

If you're on a surround setup with 3 27" monitors or 3 30" monitors, 2 Titans would, I presume, be demolished by 4 GPUs. Of course, the 6GB of VRAM would help but after a certain point, you need pure GPU power as opposed to just gobs of VRAM (as evidenced by my post with the pic of Crysis 3 @ 5160x2560 maxed out).

Like I said, check my calculations for the Valley 1.0 benchmark thread a couple pages ago. In it I showed how two Titans will probably score somewhere around 130-140 fps at stock clocks. The highest score in the thread is currently TSM's crazy 1300+MHz quadfire 7970's at 160 fps. Just a 20% overclock on the Titans would be enough to beat him.

Don't worry, its OK. You're going to be getting beat by a lot of Titan rigs in the coming days...

Any extrapolation of benchmarks with GPUs yet to be tested (or seen by the public in this case) is just speculation.

It'll be interesting to see how 2x Titans fare against 4 680 classifieds.. hmm..

Hopefully my 4x Titans don't arrive before the benchmarks are here!
