I'm hoping that's more of a 1.05 to 1.1GHz core... Anandtech (I believe it was them) claimed they got 1.2GHz at 87C on their card.

Maybe this image can shed some light on that:

+165 translate to 1.00GHz normal/1.04GHz boost I believe.

They needed 1.2v to reach that? Not very promising, hope they were just applying 1.2v for a dirty/fast overclock. However, if 1.04GHz core resulted in those gains, 1.2GHz core will surely make it surpass a 690.

That's off the base clock - presumably that card also had some Kepler boost working. The freq graph at the bottom looks higher than 1000 (but I'm looking g at it on my phone, so that's a WAG)

Your right it does look higher than 1.04GHz.

We got 4 hours and 15 minutes until NDA lift...

Ah I found what I was talking about earlier.
Quote:
The rumored overclocking boost with GPU Boost 2.0 is expected to hit the 1100 to 1150MHz range, but Guru3d.com apparently managed to push it all the way to 1176MHz.

So even on stock the card will push 1150MHz if you keep the card cold (or increase the temp threshold to 90C, default is 80C). Looks like there isn't much manual overclocking to be done... keep the card cold and it will overclock for you. Not sure if I like that.

PCP also confirmed this in their video, claiming their card boost past 1.1GHz core (with no tweaks/manual overclocking) as long as they kept the card cold:

Why would they only list 2560x1600 and 5760x1080? I'd like to know if they got the same results and the card actually performs closer to the 690 at lower resolutions.

Initial stock will sell out instantly, like all flagship GPUs. tongue.gif
