I really am puzzled at all the hate on the none-removable battery.

Yes, I understand the need to be able to swap your battery out in the middle of the day or something like that, so to those I am not speaking to.
However, when talking about replacing a battery that has degraded, you do realize you can still do this, right?

iPhone has had that feature for a long while now, as well as some others. You can still buy those batteries and swap them out. We are on OCN....you can't tell me you people don't know how to open up the phone and put the new battery in. Even thought it isn't the simply slide off piece, you can still do this.

It just wont be the cheap $3 battery that you buy for your everyday phones that have replaceable batteries. Not that those batteries are suggested anyway.

Like I said, for those that need the ability to swap batteries in the middle of the day or on a regular basis, I totally understand where you are coming from. I actually agree with you.

Just stating this for those that don't swap out batteries on a regular basis.

I recently had an issue with my GS3 that I fixed by removing the battery.

Half an hour in store with an ATT Clerk & about an hour on my friend's phone with ATT CS didn't give me a single suggestion that worked(Factory data reset 2X, download driver/Kies and install/reinstall multiple times didn't work). If I had a phone with internal battery I would be going through a warranty return process right now and either get my phone repaired by Samsung or deal with a refurbished phone with ATT.

I just pulled the battery, put it back in, restarted and all is well.

I used to be not care about removable battery, not any more.

I've had my phone (Inspire 4g, Desire HD for you Europeans) crash/freeze and the only thing that fixed it was removing the battery. It was like a Black Screen of Death, phone wouldn't power off/on or do anything. It was as if it was completely dead. Removed battery, put it back in, booted up just fine. I guess if the battery wasn't removable I would be waiting what ~20 hours for the battery to die?

So ya to me removable battery is important.

Not ugly but I liked the aesthetics of the One X way more. I don't know why they would switch to this Iphone-esque styling.

Well, that makes sense. I can totally understand where you are coming from. You and Sherlock make good points.
I just never had any of those problems on my phone, unless I had rooted it and changed the ROM. Even then, I was able to find a stable ROM in which that didn't happen.

But I do understand exactly what you mean.

I can get by on no SD sot but non-removable batts are a deal breaker. Batteries last about 8 months before their performance starts to nose dive. At least for me as I am a heavy user.
