Both of those cards only offer a 2-year warranty in the US. Asus and MSI offer 3-year warranties... so I'd be inclined to go with one of them.

EDIT: Beat me to it!

I have a sapphire & His card. Have used both companies before and never any problems.

If you are on air check out HIS IceQ cards or Sapphire vapour x cards. Very little difference, imagine it will just come down to price.

meeehh, Warranties aren't too big of a issue for me since I plan on replacing my GPUs every 2 years or so now. The 5870 I had lasted me pretty long so I'm quite satisfied with it.

As for Performance in terms of Air or Watercooling, I'll be on Air and noise from the GPUs won't bother me. I have a pretty high tolerance lol.

HIS IceQ are great cards and they stay cool and quiet. I can get mine from 925/1375 up to 1220/1680 and stay under 60C on air. It's not the greatest overclock but its not shabby either.

One last question before I pull the trigger.

Does it matter if I go with a GHZ or not? I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go with a GHZ edition regardless. Just curious haha.

Go with the Ghz cards. both HIS HD 7970 Iceq X2 Ghz and Sapphire HD 7970 Ghz Vapor-x are good cards. take your pick. i voted for HIS card.

I have the HIS and love it so far. It gets reviewed very well; noted mostly for it's great temps and high overclock potential, though mine can't break 1200. However, I've seen a lot of these reviewers reach overclocks of 1250-1300 on air without much a voltage adjustment at all. Regardless, it's a very quiet card that also runs cool and handles everything I throw at it. Averaging about 45 FPS in Crysis 3 right now with all max settings and FXAA @ 1080p.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Btw, it's quite a looker too wink.gif
