Best if money no object 850W range

Money not being a variable, what is the bar none best 850W class PSU?

Leaning towards the Seasonic X850 or perhaps Corsair's AX850?

A couple reviews I found also recommend the PC Power and Cooling MKIII 850W to be on par with those...

No rush (have a couple weeks to choose), so I'm just trying to get my options laid out before me so I can tally pros/cons. Modular is not important one way or another btw.

Can anyone make a case for one of these three over the others or perhaps another I have skipped over? Thanks in advance :-)

there are strong cases for the corsair 860 platiniums and the seasonic platinium 860 other units to look at are the superflower 850 plat in the guise of the kingwin plat 850/pc power and cooling 850 and bringing up the rear based on price the enermax 850 platimax

a look between them really is splitting hairs on performance but on added features like modularity, connectivity, support, warranty, aestetics and price comes into play so have a look at each and make your choice

Thanks guys! That will give me a few hours of amusement at the very least!

Only reason I didnt list the Seasonic Plat first is that I have read a lot of people complaining about the coil whine and that is something i certainly do not want to live with after dropping such a chunk of change.

So the Kingwin Lazer Platinum 850 is on sale for 143.99! If I can't find a better deal by the time that 20% off code goes cold (9 days) I can't think of a reason not to scoop this up. Any votes for or against?

Looks good, especially for that price. You tend to hit a point of diminishing returns with high-end power supplies anyways, so it's not that much worse than the top end stuff.

I see no reason not to get it according to this review http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Kingwin-Lazer-Platinum-850-W-Power-Supply-Review/1527/1

I would get it over the corsair as brand name isn't everything.

In the 850w range, you won't find any better than this^^.

I have an AX850, and it has been AWESOME. I am set for some years for sure!
