I need a bit of help with what the limits to my overclocking would be , i haven't bought the two cards yet im just after a few estimates , ill link my whole system

https://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=wish_lists&wlcId=136805&action=wish_lists

that's my shopping cart it easy just to link that then worry about every individual item i have no real experience with over clocking so any help would be appreciated

careful with overclockignt he CPU, if I am not mistaken, that model CPU is the beast of Wattage requirement at Load when overclocked.

ive heard the 7970's do overclock very well and sicne you will water cool them even better,

But, Im not sure on this, you may need more power supply?

I dont know how much you will need to overclock the CPU to keep up with that Crossfire sooo..

I'm a bit concerned that you only have single 360mm radiator. Unless you're willing to cool this rad with fans at crazy RPM, I recommend you to add additional radiator in your loop. 7970 has pretty high TDP and your water temp will be very high at load with a single 360mm radiator only.

He's quite safe with that PSU as its more than capable of providing enough juice even if the OP o/c's the CPU & the GPU.

Yah I really wasn't sure, it was my only concerns though since that proc at a mild OC at 4.6 ghz is like 570 watts eek.gif

I do plan to have 6 fans on that rad i was going to buy a quad rad but i was told a triple should be fine bit in all honestly everyone iv asked have all been on the fence about it
post #7 of 8
You could cool it all with a 360 rad, you would just need very very fast fans to be able to provide effective cooling.
