Wanting new memory

Thread Starter
My current memory is cheap and in need of replacement. From everything that I have read 1866 is a good spot for FX processors so that's what I am looking at. I was considering 2133 but from what I have read it doesn't really gain me anything and a tighter timed ram usually works better for AMD. Any way I am currently considering these 2 different ones from newegg, a lot of people have good things to say about G. Skill ram so I am looking at the snipers, but I also have found these crucial ballistix with the tactical tracers. Any thoughts? Im not so worried about the cost difference.

Yeah I noticed that you were looking at 8GB kits after I suggested those. I just went up to 16 from 8. I never though I'd use all 8, but i did recently while editing some large photos, and I have been experimenting with RAmdisks, so i figured I go for 16.

AMD tends to favor timings over speed, but I have been able to OC 1866 to 2000 on an 8120 and 1866 to 2100 on a 8350.

I pondered on it all day, debating, trying to decide and at the end I just ended up ordering the snipers. I had a gift card and a promo code so they only cost me $20. Not bad I guess.
