Do you want a Nvidia GTX titan?? i know you want it - Page 2

Since it SEEMS to perform worse than the 690, I think I'm holding off.

Are you willing to pay $1000 for it? hell no

^This. I'm currently satisfied with the GTX 670 I will probably still go SLI on this old 920. Then I 'might do a full new build but then there is probably already something faster on the market.

Seriously this is a BS argument in my opinion, we haven't seen many benchmarks yet but if a single card performs within 85% of a dual-GPU card, it's well worth it in my book. I know that I'm getting 2 when they come out, and I'll be set for another 2 years just like I was when I got 2 3GB 580s.

That's why I cap'd "SEEMS", just to make sure it wasn't taken as a serious or even a completely accurate sentiment. There were no absolutes in my statement. rolleyes.gif I know there isn't much out on it, but from what I'm reading on sites, it leads me to believe it's 60% (give or take) the power of the 680. In the tests, too, they compared 3 Titans to 2 690's which didn't make it seem terribly impressive if it took THREE titans vs TWO 690's to beat the 690 by 50% in the tests.

Considering it is 4 GPU cores vs 3 and they have less power consumption and are quieter and etc are the reasons they said it.. thumb.gif

I've heard all that. I've also heard arguments that both have their strengths and according weaknesses, and that the Titan isn't exactly a perfected version of the 690. Likewise, the Titan seems more geared towards corporate entities, developers, etc, and not gamers.

So, I dunno. I'm still waiting and can only speculate until real benchmarks and performance tests are run... as well as comparisons.

I'll just go back out into the cold dark world with my 660ti...

Sniff sniff.

I would stick one into a Bitfenix Prodigy. Talk about the Lan rig of death!
