Is it okay to disable Intel Speedstep?

I haven't overclocked my desktop, but I was wondering if turning off this option will make my computer faster, even a little bit.

No, not even a little, it will just make it so that the chip doesn't idle which means more power consumption and more heat - if it's an older chip (1366 or 775) then you'll need to turn it off to overclock but with 1155 there is zero reason to thumb.gif
