not smoothly. No AA, mostly maxed out would probably be preferable.

Bottom Line I paid $239.99+tax for FX-8320 and a Sabertooth 990FX last week at Microcenter.
The Sabertooth z77 is $239.99 at Microcenter. Whick one would you go for.
I know not everybody took advantage of this deal or has a MC close to them.

If you guys want to flame war do it right. please provide some proof that AMD is horrible for gaming.
And should be avoided. If you don't have any 1st hand experience just be happy with what you bough.
I build both AMD and Intel system and test them with real games not just the same four games that
every lame paid hardware review site uses. Then overclock them to see how they scale. You disable
core very easily and over and underclock to emulate different CPUs. Not hard. Give it a try.

Please show me how bad a FX-8320/8350 does when overclocked to 4.7GHz or 5.0GHz. against
a i5-3570K/i7-3770K at 4.50GHz. If it is less than 5% in most games I can use the money I saved on
the AMD platform on getting better a GPU or two. Because console port and games that use 10+ year
old single threaded coding isn't that import to some PC gamers.

I build an i7-920 @3.8GHz, i5-750 @4.0GHz and i5-2500K @4.5GHz along with my old x6@4.0GHz
All tested with either HD 5850 or 6850.

If you don't mind your fps to go to low 30s or even mid-high 20s in some situations you will be fine.
I played Crysis 2 maxed with a GTX 470 OC'ed and got an average of 30-50 fps. Definitely it was playable for me, some people don't like 30 fps.

Why compare a higher clocked processor to a lower clocked one? That makes no sense.

Proof? It's called Google, thousands of forum threads and articles that prove it but as always, people cling onto Battlefield 3.

I still say AMD should of just die shrunk Phenom 2 and tweaked it a little for a bit more IPC and higher clock rates.

AMD would be in a much better position now then they are at the moment.

It does make a perfect sense. Ivy i5/ i7 3000K most of the time max out at around 4.6 to 4.8 GHz.
FX 8350 maxes at 4.7-5.0 GHz. In my opinion comparing two different architectures clock-for-clock without taking the average or max overclock between the two is meaningless.

Ya, I would like to keep it above 30 fps at all times. I'll just OC the heck out of my card and see how it goes.
