[GameGPU] Crysis 3 Final - GPU & CPU scaling - Page 30

Oh that is what i thought.

None of you have any proof. If that was correct that would mean intel cpu is 2 to 3 times faster.

Good try... lachen.gif

the results speak for themselves, Intel is the stronger chip.
get over it..

an AMD chip pushing a Surround set-up like 5760 x 1080p struggles compared to Intel.
all higher resolutions.

oh well, you and your high TDP and low IPC can have at it..
cheers.

its kind of like, back when Pentium 4's and Pentium D's were competing against AMD socket 939.

There used to be a quick dirty equation to figure out between the two platforms, which compared to which but the even cheaper way was the AMD Processor model names.

This is Close, but not exact.

the AMD 3700+ single core processor clocked at I think 2.2 GHZ stock was supposedly comparable to a Pentium 4 at 3.5ghz +

like I said I dont remember the exact numbers for this equation, but the benchmarks deffinitely showed Amd with a lower Clock rate, beating Intel with a Higher Clock rate. Crazy right?

At the time AMD overclocked much better too, and the performance gains were higher. something to do with Clocks per cycle.

Here you have a cinebench single thread performance comparison, and as u can see a 5GHz FX8350 is close to 2600K but still so far away since thier clock is far apart.

Below here is the same for Multi-threaded performance

This concludes the fact that AMD cpus is still good at games like crysis 3 that utilizes many cores.

right, AMD has to raise the clocks up to make up some of the difference for weaker cores.
thanks for the proof on-screen..

MOAR cores because they need more cores.
period.

Unfortunately, some people get over their heads and defend their pieces of silicon to the death through countless benchmarks and pointless flaunts. Both teams are the culprit in every case.

Darn it, I wish the new GPUs would release already. I can't get any new releases until I get a new GPU that can run them.

I wonder what settings would I have to use in order to get Crysis 3 to run at 60 FPS on the upcoming A10 5750m (with GPU OC'ed)?

And perhaps I could try running it on an i3 with Intel HD 2000...

Or on a Pentium 3 desktop with 256 MB of RAM. But because the GPU is DX8, that means I would have to install Windows 7 and use its GPU virtualization feature (Direct3D WARP10: http://www.istartedsomething.com/20081126/direct3d-warp10-to-enable-you-to-play-dx10-crysis-using-software-renderer-only-albeit-slowly/ ) to render Crysis 3's graphics on the CPU...
