You gotta post up some benchies of games and Vantage/11 when you get that 9170. I am particularly interested in the GTX 670MX OCing.

I'll have to look into that. fixing up the M17 and I will probably sell it, do some haggling with dell biggrin.gif

well that's good to know, they have some serious ego with their prices. bringing the price from 2000 to 1400. that's like an extra GPU and an SSD right there. I guess you have to treat your sales rep like a used care salesman lmao!

Hate to say it now, but you could have gotten a sager with a 7970m for about the same price. The 670m is actually a more expensive card despite the fact that it performs below the 7970m by a fair margin. NVidia is pretty naughty about their mobile pricing.

Still, the thing will perform like a beast for a laptop. Congrats on the purchase!

Yeah what games do you want to see, I have done anything in a long long time, used to use fraps all the time. I can use fraps and run borderlands 2, Starcraft 2, Diablo 3, I picked up the newest futuremark, as well as having full versions of 05 and 06, possibly vantage. The last time I overclocked I used atitool or Rivatuner....doesn't everyone use afterburner now or something? Is it sad that the last time I overclocked anything was probably 18 months ago. I have my dad's computer overclocked its an old brisbane 3600 to 2.7ghz and my stepdad's 720 tricore amd to 3.8ghz. None of my current rigs will allow clock speed change or cooling lacks too much for any pushes.

It was still a hundred bucks more and I way overshot my budget already.

He DID get a Sager. Dude, reread the first page please. rolleyes.gif

And it was a 670MX, which is cheaper than the 7970M by around $200. tongue.gif

Nothing I said insinuated that I thought he didn't get a Sager. Dude, reread my post please.rolleyes.gif Drama.

Anyway, I was wrong about the price. Last time I priced out a laptop for myself I could've sworn the price of the 670M was higher than the 7970, but perhaps I was thinking of the 675M or there was a price drop, or both.

UPS still isn't updating whether I am getting the Y480 today(saturday) or if I have to wait for Monday. We got like 15 inches of snow in 18 hours and UPS shut down. It made it to the warehouse Friday about 11am(it was supposed to be delivered friday as I got free 2 day shipping).

Oh, this can't be good.....http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834312510 Read the reviews....everyone is saying the products have Nvidia 640 LE's in them, not a 650. That would really really suck.

I intend to start with cuddles and love and see where we get, and when that fails(and I am sure it will) I will bring out the "misrepresented item".....and do you really want the more than 300,000 registered members of OCN to get wind of this kind of trouble.....

Lets hope its a 650 and I can squeal like a little girl when I get it.....and its going to be like Christmas and being 5 years old when the sager gets here.

-_- The 640M LE is the same thing as the 650M... just clocked slower. rolleyes.gif
