I feel like the way you congratulated them is the same way I would speak to my cat for learning to use the toilet (get the reference)? But yeah, that is pretty cool. I don't like AMD much but they are stepping it up and I am interested in seeing how their other CPUs turn out.. even though I thought they were moving away from CPUs and going mobile or something like that.

Yes, good point

This ^^^ its not an 8 core despite how AMD market it, the two cores inside each of its 4 modules are not independent, Its AMD's version of Intel's 4 core + HT

It has 4 'real' cores with 8 threads, its Integer Hyper Threading as opposed to Intel's FP Hyper Threading.

Depends on how budget the budget system is.

I've been really amazed by the scalability of an AMD APU system. Running an A10-5800 and a low budget ATI GPU (the A10 can crossfire with some low end GPUs) will give very decent results for relatively little cash and if you want more just stick in a high end GPU and you no longer have a "budget system". Intel I3 systems are also good, but I think the A10 does a better job once a high end GPU is used. Plus the A10 can be overclocked easier...the I3's have locked multipliers and will be limited in the overclock department.

I guess my personal feeling is if you want to spend less than a 3570K system...get an A10 or even just an A6 from AMD...if you want more...make the 3570K system some how fit the budget.
