Not a chance. It will be shy of 1500MB.

But is is not, because of not enough VRAM. If you put 2x7970 then it will be just fine.
Here is a video from a friend of mine with all maxed out and 8xMSAA with 2x GTX 680 2GB: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y26kWT_15-4&hd=1

I had my doubts. but it clearly shows that 2GB of VRAM is enough for 1080p. Can't speak for 1440p/1600p though.

Whew, I was very nervous that my 2gb 670 FTW would not be enough, but I am glad to see they are now! Might look into getting a second one now :-)

8xMSAA chewed up my 2GB VRAM, quickly maxing it out @ 1440p.
First time I've seen that. The game began to stutter.

Now, there's a 690 locally for cheap but, it only has 2GB VRAM. Reminds me of the days when the 5970 became obsolete because of 1GB.
I'm now considering a Titan or the rumored 7990. But, because of the broken SLI issues in this game, I really want one GPU, and Titan right now is the fastest.

What's also interesting is 4xSMAA is only available on single gpu configs.

I have tried it and it really works, now Crysis 3 uses up to 2.1GB of VRAM (default was up to 1.7GB) , settings are Very High, FXAA and 1920 x 1024.

If I turn up AA to 8x MSAA theh VRAM usage shoots up to 2.7GB (HD7950 3GB card)..

CHEERS..

this has been an amazing performance increase for me, i switched it up to 2048mb and BAM im getting 45-60 vsync on on all very high settings 2048x1152 no joke

Btw I've seen crysis 3 take up 2700mb on 2048x1152 with 8msaa very high settings. That was in the hydro dam level at beginning that's as far as I've gotten.

I'd say crysis 3 is limiting its use of VRAM and streaming more on cards that have 2gb over 4gb cards. Maybe if it knows there is 4gb, it will make better use of that and stream less in from the hard drive/ssd

I'm running x4 myself and it's flawless, but haven't spent much time playing the game as of yet. I'll play with it later and see what I get.

Flawless being what? The PERFECT amount of VRAM?
