I actually enjoy my iphone. But thank you for pointless flame

I've never listened to the headphones but usually any celebrity endorsed product is crap.

The influence is clear, if it's actually grounds for a lawsuit are not. Of course, as Tyll from Inner Fidelity noted, it's telling that Beats is suing on grounds of appearance and not function. Of course Yamaha isn't blameless for copying that not-actually-that-good ball in socket layout for some reason.

These appear to have a fatter band and larger ear cups, and an all chrome logo against a red/brushed aluminum logo. Failing to see the similarity other than the fact they are both over the ear headphones.

EDIT: Also the beats are 100% matte, the Yamaha's use a glossy plastic for the part connecting to the headband.

Pretty sure this is nothing more than a marketing stunt by Beats. They're already universally acknowledged for being some of the worst price/performance headphones ever created, I've heard $50-80 cans that sound better than the $300 Beats models.
I have to say when I first looked at this I could tell the difference right off.. Note the enormous Yamaha Logo and the b Beats logo, also one is gloss one is not....

honestly how many ways can you really have a round ear cup and a head band thinking.gif

now that I think about it, I wonder if Yamaha makes the parts for the good doctor anyway tongue.gif

Why didn't they sue the Soul headphone line?
