I think it will do really well on consoles. Anyone ever play baldaurs gate dark alliance II such a sweet overhead RPG. Im sure it will be great on consoles.

Except that Champions of Norrath and, to a lesser degree (IMO), Dark Alliance were better games. Better itemization, actual skill points etc.

A lot of Diablo hate on here! While I agree that it's still far from being a polished game, it has come a long way since release. Now with the addition of PVP and I'm sure an expansion pack within the next year, it'll become exactly what Diablo 2 was. Plus remember, most of you didn't play Diablo or Diablo 2, you played those games with the added expansion packs which made all the difference in the world.

In the meantime there's Path of Exile, although their fighting animations feel very disconnected and slow for a hack n slash rpg.

I still love Diablo 3. I only played the first Diablo before Diablo 3, so I don't have any nostalgic pull towards Diablo 2. Blizzard patches it regularly, alot more frequently than other $60 games. I guess I am in the minority unfortunately.

False, I love original Diablo and liked D2 even before patch 1.10. I will grant that I primarily played D2 after expansion, but liked even before then. Not so young as many of the users here.

This now completes my disappointment. I'm sad for Diablo. I'm sad for Blizzard.

I'm going to do something I don't usually do and put on my tin-foil hat here. I think now, more than ever, that Diablo 3 only exists as an experiment. The game was designed to do 2 things. #1 is test the real money auction house. #2 is test cross platform. Both of which are EXTREMELY relevant to Titan, their WoW replacement and new cash cow. It's been widely speculated that Titan will attempt to replace the monthly fee because its had trouble succeeding in modern games and the RMAH is a perfect test replacement. The other widely speculated thing is that Blizzard needed to increase their audience. Make something very cross platform and include consoles. Maybe even include mobile platforms in one way or another.

So like I implied with the tin-foil hat comment, of course I don't know any of this to be true. But the facts line up for me (I've been saying it for months...) and I'm really curious to see how Titan turns out.
